80-90 percent – That is landslide, my friends

A published report yesterday claimed that an unnamed Jets player estimates that 80-90 percent of the team feels the team needs to move on from Mark Sanchez as the starting quarterback.

This got a lot of play from websites and cable shows hungry for content.

I don’t know if the unnamed player has a background in polling, perhaps with Gallup, but that number seems a little high.

It just made me wonder, how the following new players on the Jets voted – Dalton Freeman, Will Campbell, Oday Aboushi, Willie Colon, Brian Winters, Antonio Garay, Antwan Barnes, Dawan Landry, Dee Milliner, Zach Rogers, Ryan Spadola, Tommy Bohanon, Mike Goodson and Chris Ivory, to name a few.

Jets have a lot of new players in their locker room.

Did they cast a vote with the unnamed player/pollster?

I would tend to doubt it.

New guys tend to keep to themselves and stay quiet.

I just don’t know about the veracity of that poll.
