The Jets have taken a lot of heat for releasing long-time Jet Jerricho Cotchery on Thursday.
So don’t be shocked, to help make that story go away, they up the ante to another long-time Jet, Shaun Ellis, currently a free agent.
Ellis worked out for New England this week.
If Ellis signed with the Patriots, right after the Jets released Cotchery, that would be a double whammy of bad publicity for the Jets.
