A probable reason Goodell made so much money in 2011

According to Daniel Kaplan of the Sports Business Journal, Roger Goddell made $29.49 million in 2011.

That reportedly included a $22.3 million bonus.

Aside from the new TV deal Roger helped negotiate, there is another likely big reason for Goodell’s huge salary in 2011 – the NFL clearly beat the NFLPA in the CBA talks which led to a 10-year labor deal.

That labor deal was a victory for Goodell and the owners.
