Sanchez preseason means very little Dan Leberfeld

Mark Sanchez was very inconsistent in the preseason.
So what.
Who cares?
The summer is for getting the kinks out.
Style points are insignificant.
And remember, he missed most of the off-season practices rehabbing his surgical knee, so that likely has contributed to his inconsistency.
This was an important off-season for him, and he spent most of his time in the trainer’s room.
Also, he’s still attempting to get on the same page with Santonio Holmes, who hasn’t been on the team long.
Look-it, I’m not looking to be a Sanchez apologist, but I think over-analyzing preseason performances by entrenched starting quarterbacks is foolish.
Let’s see what he does when it really counts.
