Cortland – Austin Howard was a solid run blocker last year, but the Jets’ right tackle was inconsistent against speed rushers, and gave up too many sacks.
Last year, Howard seemed stressed by quickness off the edge.
But it looks like he lost a little weight, and worked a great deal on his technique this off-season.
In training camp, it looks like he has improved his kick slide, and is dealing with speed off the corner better.
