Antonio Cromartie claims he wasn’t disrespecting Tim Tebow, when he said the Jets shouldn’t deal for him, before last week’s trade.
“I would never degrade an NFL player because he’s in the NFL for a reason,” Cromartie told Manish Mehta of the Daily News. “Tebow’s proven over the past couple years why he’s in the NFL. I would never take a shot at any NFL player.”
In January of 2011, Cromartie said about New England quarterback Tom Brady, “[He’s] an asshole. F–k him.”
