Don’t think Jets would have beat Green Bay

Perhaps the Jets and their fans were spared the ultimate agony of losing a Super Bowl.

If the Jets had advanced to Dallas, I think they would have lost to Green Bay.

The red-hot Aaron Rogers, with four dangerous receivers (Donald Driver, Greg Jennings, James Jones and Jordy Nelson), in a dome, in perfect playing condition, likely would have been too much for the Jets to handle. Especially, when you consider the Jets pedestrian pass rush. You give that guy time to throw, he will pick you apart.

Did you see what Rogers did to Atlanta in the Georgia Dome a few weeks ago? He was unreal. You put him outside, in bad winter conditions, like Chicago, you can slow him down a little. But inside, look out!

On top of that, let’s not forget the Green Bay defense shutout the Jets in the New Meadowlands this season. Dom Capers has them playing on a high level.

So just like I think Pittsburgh is going to lose to Green Bay, I think the Jets would have also.

So maybe it’s better for Jets fans, from a agony standpoint, to lose in the AFC Championship Game, than in the biggest game of them all.
