Geno needs to be really careful

Florham Park – One concern for the Jets has to be the Oakland Raiders’ secondary, filled with savvy veterans, against Geno Smith, who had a tendency to stare down his primary target last season.

Smith must avoid telegraphing against this group. He must manipulate coverage with his eyes.

Because if Smith has tunnel-vision, guys like Carlos Rogers, Tarell Brown, Charles Woodson, Tyvon Branch and Usama Young could make him pay. This is an experienced group, good at reading the quarterback’s eyes.

So Smith needs to avoid eye-balling his primary receiver too much.

Let’s see how much he improves in this department in his second season.
