I respectfully disagree with Michael Vick Dan Leberfeld

The Newark-Star Ledger tracked down quarterback Michael Vick on Saturday at a charity event, and asked him about the Jets’ quarterback situation.

“Geno’s the starting quarterback for that football team.” Vick said. “Ultimately our goal is to try to help Geno become the best quarterback that he can be.”

I politely disagree with the second sentence.

“Ultimately” the Jets “goal” in 2014 is to win football games, as many as they can.

Perhaps Smith gives them the best chance to do that. We will see.

But every other “goal” should rank way behind winning and making the playoffs.
