Don’t make a marketing decision

When the Jets decide who their starting quarterback is going to be, it should be 100 percent a football decision.

The Jets should not start Geno Smith because they think he might sell more tickets than Mark Sanchez.

This decision should be made by the football people strictly for football reasons.

Football decisions made for marketing reasons almost never work.
