The Jets have promoted wide receiver Patrick Turner from the practice squad. No announcement was made.
Why did they make this move? I have no idea.
Perhaps, they did this to appease the critics who want them to bench Braylon Edwards, so they can say, “See, we are going to take away playing time from Edwards, we promoted Turner.”
The Jets brass has a tendency to worry about what people think about them too much.
Other than that, this move makes little sense.
