Jets run “D” surprisingly bad in Pitt

Pittsburgh – The most important stat is obviously getting a “W,” but one of the more surprisingly elements of Gang Green’s performance in Pittsburgh was their run defense.

Pittsburgh tailback Rashad Mendenhall rushed 17 times for 100 yards behind a patchwork offensive line.

This is inexusable in a Rex Ryan defense.

The Jets might need to tweak their defensive line rotation a little bit, get some different reserves in the mix to spell the starters. These guys rotate a lot, and sometimes there is a big dropoff when the starters rest.
