Katula cut by Ravens Dan Leberfeld

Now that long-snapper James Dearth is with the Washington Redskins, the Jets can’t turn to him if Tanner Purdum struggles.
But if they do need a long-snapper at some point, Baltimore Raven’s released Matt Katula on Sunday. Rex Ryan knows him well from Baltimore.
But clearly, the Jets think Purdham can handle the job. However, they need to see what he can do in NFL game action. He hasn’t seen a lot of that.
