Houston – Houston Texans coach Gary Kubiak is going young on Monday night against the Jets.
“Our starters will probably play 10 or 12 plays but we’re going to play a lot of young guys,” Kubiak said. “Matt Leinart is going to play a lot of football, a lot of young defensive players. So just to see who’s going to step to the plate and see who is going to be part of this team.”
Kubiak’s Texans are putting in a new defense under coordinator Wade Phillips, so the Jets should have some scoring opportunities as the Houston players learn on the job.
