Never got to play on defense

The New York Jets have waived LB Kenwin Cummings. The
announcement was made by General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Cummings (LB/6-3/230/Wingate/Pembroke, NC) initially joined the club as an
undrafted free agent in 2008 and was inactive for the season opener before being
signed to the Jets practice squad. After spending the first nine weeks of the
2009 season on the Jets practice squad, he was then added to the 53-man roster
on November 16, 2009, and made his NFL debut on special teams in the Jets Wild
Card Playoff game at Cincinnati. He saw action on special teams in three games
this season.

Cummings is a better player than Vernon Gholston.
