NFL players live longer

Roger Goodell was on the CBS morning show today, and was asked about the safety of football.

“One of the things that I have tried to explain on many occasions is that people don’t realize that NFL players are living longer on average than the average male – three years,” Goodell said. “They’re also living a higher quality life from a medical standpoint and a quality of life standpoint. So these are important facts for people to understand. There’s a lot of misinformation out there. Our players – we want to do what we can to help them playing the game and when they leave the game. But our players are doing great. We will always try to do more for our players.”
