Perhaps the Jets couldn’t afford Shaun Ellis, but the Patriots didn’t overpay for him.
He’s coming off a terrific season, and his performance in the Jets-New England playoff game was one of the best efforts by a defensive lineman in Jets history.
It has been reported that Ellis received between $4-5 million from the Patriots for this season.
That sounds about right, based on his performance last year
He had a very good season.
Don’t judge him by his age.
He really hasn’t slipped much, if at all.
