Practice performances a little overrated

On Thursday, Rex Ryan raved about how good the Jets’ offense looked in practice.

But it didn’t translate to the field at M&T Bank Stadium.

Why?

“We don’t practice against the Baltimore Raven, we practice against ourselves,” said Santonio Holmes after the game.

In practice there is no tackling, no sacks, no true opponent. It’s a different brand of football.

So performances in practice should be taken with a grain of salt.
