Q)What are your thoughts on the way Ryan Fitzpatrick has been playing lately?
Marshall: This guy just works hard and he’s had an interesting career. He deserves it. We just want to continue to rally around him and let him lead us.
Q)Is chemistry between receivers important?
Marshall: Absolutely. I was thinking about that early on. I had an awesome partner in Chicago, Alshon Jeffery, and he was a guy I was able to groom. In high school my uncle came up to me when I made the switch to wide receiver and told me from day one, ‘Great receivers have great receivers on the other side.’ I’ve always remembered that. It’s simple.
Q)What was the mindset of the team going into this game after last week’s win?
Marshall: It was a big win because we understand what’s on the line. All these games down the stretch are big wins and will be emotional wins. But you have to do a great job of getting through that Monday and Tuesday, and when you come back to work Wednesday, be ready to roll and focus.
Q)Are the Jets peaking right now?
Marshall: I don’t know. We left a lot out there today, but we started fast. That was our goal today, to start fast. I think that if we continue to work we could be fairly close.
