Rex did the right thing sidestepping this question Dan Leberfeld

Rex Ryan was asked if there was any scenario he could see Michael Vick taking over for Geno Smith in a game.

“I don’t want to deal with that,” Ryan said. “You know I don’t. I think it’s negative when you do it. But, am I confident in Mike coming into a game? (I) absolutely would be. But again, I don’t like the what-if scenarios. Hey, if we need him to come in and close and they’ve got a lefty stick, than put him in there (joking). But, I really don’t want to think about it. And in all seriousness, I don’t like doing that.”

He was smart avoiding this question.

As Bill Parcells used to always say, “I don’t answer hypothetical questions.”

That is always the best approach.
