Rex on Sanchez’s health

Mark Sanchez is playing with an injured throwing shoulder. How did the shoulder make it through the Jets game at Chicago?

“My understanding is he came out fairly well,” Rex Ryan said.

So with that being said, does Rex plan on playing him against Buffalo?

“His health is the number one priority,” Ryan said. “We have to look at it has the week goes on. My first thought was to just not even play him.”

But then Ryan added a bizarre goal, that probably should have nothing to do with playing a quarterback with a bum shoulder.

“I think it’s important to win this game,” Ryan said. “If we can get to 11 wins, I think it’s only been done five times in the history of the franchise.  That would be huge.”

Who cares? What does that have to do with winning a Super Bowl.

Is it possible Sanchez will play part of the game?

“That certainly will be discussed, for sure,” Ryan said. “I’m really not clear right now.”
