There are so many people who want Geno Smith to start because they want the Jets to move on from Mark Sanchez.
But a desire to turn the page from Sanchez, doesn’t speed up the maturation process, the readiness of Smith.
That line of thinking makes little sense.
Just because some don’t like Sanchez as a quarterback, doesn’t make Geno ready to be an immediate NFL starter.
One has nothing to do with the other.
And to combine the two theories into one, isn’t necessarily a winning formula.
