Sparano tap dances asked about Cro’s attack on WR’s

Cornerback Antonio Cromartie told Skip Bayless he’s the second best wide receiver on the Jets.

What does Tony Sparano think of Cromartie’s attack on the majority of his receiving corps?

“[Cro’s] a pretty confident player, he’s got some swagger,” Sparano said.

Isn’t Cromartie’s quote a slight on the receivers on the roster, sans Santonio Holmes?

“I’m just pleased that Cro feels like he could help,” Sparano said. “I had to play against the guy. I know his ball skills. I know he can run. He’s a pretty confident player and he’s got some swagger. Players with swagger, we’ll put them out in the huddle if necessary. If anybody on this football team feels like they can come over and do something like that and help us and Coach Ryan believes that, then that’s where we’ll go,”

If Quinton Coples wants to play tight end, you are going to let him do it?

If Bart Scott wants to play fullback, you are going to let him do it?

Stephen Hill is 6-4, 215 pounds and has 4.3 speed. The Jets have a tall athlete with great speed, like Cromatie, to go deep. They don’t need Cromartie at wide receiver.

And he’s far from the second best wide receiver on the team.
