Once you reach the fifth-round of the NFL draft, it’s time to roll the dice.
And that’s what the Jets did with fifth-round pick Bryce Hall, a cornerback out of UVA.
He is coming off a broken ankle, suffered last football season, so this made him slip in the draft, expecially this year, with no player meetings leading up to the draft (so no medical rechecks by team doctors).
Hall is a better than a fifth-round talent. Just put in the film from before the injury.
So Jets GM Joe Douglas, who needs another corner, is gambling that Hall can get back to his pre-injury form.
And if he does, the Jets could end up with a starting cornerback, and second-round value.
