Rick Stroud. of the Tampa Bay Times, did some good reporting today on the Darrelle Revis-Tampa Bay trade rumors.
The theme of his article was that Tampa Bay views the Jets’ asking price for the cornerback, reportedly first, third and fifth round picks, as too high.
“The Bucs front office and coach Greg Schiano are in agreement that the Jets’ price is currently too high for Revis, especially due to the lack of suitors,” Stroud wrote.
I disagree with the premise there is a lack other suitors, aside from Tampa Bay.
The Jets can always keep Revis, and have the best cornerback tandem in football.
So you have to consider that option when you assess potential suitors.
The Jets are a “suitor” for Revis, so to speak.
