These 2 have developed chemistry very quickly

It didn’t take much time for this pair to develop chemistry.

Talking about Jets QB Sam Darnold, and one of his top new weapons, veteran wide receiver Breshad Perriman. They’ve had a few nice connections early in camp.

“It seems like those two guys have a good chemistry… very quickly,” said Jets coach Adam Gase.

Gase said Perriman, who played for Tampa Bay last year, has picked up the Jets’ playbook fast.

“I think Perriman did a great job of we went through the offseason, he was really good about staying on everything, studying, and then continued that when our offseason was over, which we could tell right away when we started doing the walkthroughs, just the way he wasn’t making mistakes lining up,” Gase said.

Darnold has tremendous respect for Perriman’s professionalism.

“He just does all the little things right, which is all you ask for,” said Darnold. “He comes in, does everything he needs to do, gets his lift in, he’s very good in meetings, he knows what he’s doing on the field too, which obviously is the most important part. So, he’s been really good so far.

“We’re just looking for him to have a have a big year for us.”

The Jets could certainly use that from the 2015 first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens out of Central Florida.
