It Jets want to cut down on penalties, perhaps try this . . .

The Jets are committing too many penalties.

They clearly need to play more disciplined football.

How do you correct this problem?

Well the fear factor certainly would help.

If players start getting benched over their sloppy play, this could change mindsets.

“Players understand when you take away the stage and that is the only way to get through when you don’t allow them to play,” said ESPN’s Louis Riddick, a former NFL safety and executive.

But if the lineup always stays status-quo, perhaps some players will think penalties aren’t a big deal.
