Washington signs long-term deal with Seattle

Former Jets running back Leon Washington signed a long-term deal with Seattle. The announcement was made by his agent Alvin Keels.

It’s a four-year contract for $12.5 million with the opportunity for Washington to earn an extra $3.5 million in incentives.

Washington was traded by the Jets last April. The running back and the Jets weren’t able to reach a long-term deal.

However, the Jets reportedly offered him more than he just received in Seattle.

The Jets offer was before he suffered a horrific leg injury early in the 2009 season.
