In the 2011 draft, Wisconsin’s J.J. Watt and Temple’s Mo Wilkerson were considered by some the two best 3-4 end prospects in the draft.
Watt was picked by Houston in the first round, and Wilkerson later on by the Jets. Both teams are thrilled with what they are seeing so far.
“[Watt] has been exceptional. He’s a very mature kid,” Texan coach Gary Kubiak said. “He just handles his business very good, great conditioned young man; can practice all day. When your teammates call you a ‘dog’ after about a week, that’s a compliment so I’m looking forward to him. He’s been very good in camp and we’re excited, we feel good about him.”
