People are wondering now – who should the Jets pick at nine and 13 (if they don’t trade down).
The answer is simple – best player available. I know that is boring, but it’s the best way to go.
Reaching for need is often a mistake.
It’s best to stick to your value board.
So if that is OLB/DE Barkevious Mingo (LSU) and guard Jonathan Cooper (North Carolina), then those should be the picks. It’s OT Lane Johnson (Oklahoma) and WR Tavon Austin (West Virginia), then those should be the picks. If it’s DE/OLB Dion Jordan and S Kenny Vaccaro, then so be it.
The board approach might be boring, but it’s the best way to go. You spend weeks stacking that board for a reason. Stick to it.
