Aside from financial factors, there is clearly another big factor in the Jets’ decision to start Mark Sanchez at Jacksonville – it’s a road game.
So it’s more of a safe haven for Sanchez to start.
If the game was at home, the vitriol towards Sanchez, from the crowd, would be over-the-top.
In Jacksonville, while there will be some Jets fans there (a lot of people from Tri-State area live in Florida), Sanchez won’t get boo’d out of the stadium.
