Not sure about that.
What is sucking the air out of the building is the Jets’ run defense.
When you can’t stop the run, it demoralizes your entire football team, because it makes your team seem soft and keeps your offense off the field for long stretches, hurting their ability to get into a flow, and limiting your chances at scoring.
But the reason the Jets are terrible at stopping the run isn’t related to softness. The reason they can’t stop the run is their scheme is outdated and static, and they continue to roll with players who consistently mess up leading to big chunk plays. No matter how many times certain guys are implicated in big runs, the team continues to roll with them.
So not only are teams pounding it down the Jets’ throats, which is sucking the air out of the building, but the decision-makers not benching the repeat culprits who are consistently out of position, overrun plays, and can’t get off blocks, that this lack of accountability is sucking the air out of the building.
The Jets’ run defense has sucked the air out of the building, not Aaron Rodgers.
