Sheely was the Jets’ vice president for stadium development and finance.
With the recent departures of two VP’s, Matt Higgins and Sheely, now would be the perfect time for the Jets to hire a team president, something they desperately need.
Somebody like an experienced, veteran college athletic director, with extensive business and football experience, would be perfect.
That is what the Packers did when they hired Mark Murphy.
The Jets need a strong central leader to oversee the football and business operations – bring it all together.
