The New York Jets have signed S Antonio Allen from the practice squad. The announcements were made by Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Allen (S/6-1/210/South Carolina/Ocala, FL) entered the NFL as a seventh-round selection by the Jets in the 2012 NFL draft. He was waived following the preseason (09/01/12) and signed to the practice squad (09/02/12). In four seasons at South Carolina, Allen started 31-of-50 games, recording 198 tackles, including 20 for a loss, four interceptions and six forced fumbles.
