Clinkscales on paycuts for scouts

Jets owner Woody Johnson, and team VP Matt Higgins, made the Jets football staff take a 25 percent pay cut during the lockout.

So what has the staff morale been like in preparation for the draft?

“First off all, we love what we do,” said Jets college scouting director Joey Clinkscales. “A lot of us, especially who are football junkies, we’d almost do this for free. We feel blessed not only to be in the to be in this business but to be doing what we do and being paid for it. If it’s 25 percent, if those are the rules we are playing under, then that’s what we do.”

Sounds like a guy with the right perspective.
