There are many NFL teams and star players far apart in contract talks because of the bad economy and uncertain labor situation. Here is a prime example.
Kevin McNamara of the Providence Journal reports – “Talks between the Patriots and Tom Brady are not proceeding well towards a contract extension. Brady is entering the final year of his deal and it would be normal for a franchise QB to extend his deal before the season begins.
The Patriots have made no secret of their desire to hold down costs as the NFL nears what everyone expects to be major problems on the labor front. Will those plans include Tom Terrific? We’ll see.”
