The general consensus, for quite some time, has pointed to Justin Gilbert (Oklahoma State) and Darqueze Dennard (Michigan State) as the draft’s top two cornerbacks.
But don’t be shocked if Ohio State’s Bradley Roby is one of the top two corners off the board.
“I have Dennard as my No.2,” said the NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah, a former NFL scout. “I think Roby, when you talk to people around the league, that’s the name that keeps coming up more and more often. There’s a lot of people convinced he’s going to be the second corner off the board.
“When I watched him over the summer on last year’s tape, I thought he was the top corner in the entire draft the way he played. He had a bad game against Wisconsin and (Jared) Abbrederis, he gave up some plays. The other games I watched, I saw some really good things, just a very explosive player. I think he’s going to go a lot earlier than people think.”
