Two words describe Jets LB David Harris – class act.
Harris deserves a new contract. He has clearly outplayed his rookie second round deal. But don’t expect the Michigan product to make a strink if he doesn’t get one.
“My job as an athlete and football player is to go out there and play ball,” Harris told Manish Mehta. “My agent will handle the rest. We all know what kind of situation we’re in with the possible lockout and the CBA. So hopefully, it will get done. But that’s the pickle we’re in right now. All I can do is play right now and hopefully everything will work out. I’m going in the last year of my contract. I’m still under contract for one more year. If I go out and do my job and stay healthy, hopefully everything works out.”
Two other words to describe Harris – role model.
