I was looking over some recent articles about the Darrelle Revis contract dispute, and I found a quote that could be a game-changer.
“I have talked to Coach [Rex] Ryan and [general manager Mike] Tannenbaum himself and they believe I should be the highest-paid player at my position,” Revis said to ESPNNewYork.com’s Ohm Youngmisuk on May 21.
Wow, if Mike Tannenbaum actually said that, then the Jets should indeed give Revis more money than Oakland’s Nnamdi Asomugha. The Raider cornerback makes in the neighborhood of $16 million per season.
