When Santonio Holmes was critical of the Jets offensive line and quarterback after the team’s 2011 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Jets guard Brandon Moore blasted the wide receiver.
On Tuesday, Ravens safety Ed Reed did essentially the same thing as Holmes – calling out his team’s offensive line and quarterback.
Reed is one of the leaders of the Ravens, and he felt this was what a leader should do.
So perhaps, Holmes, who was a Jets captain last year, felt he was being a leader, when he told his offensive line and quarterback they need to step up.
Holmes took a lot of heat for what he did from Jets guard Brandon Moore.
But you know what, what he did was no different than what Reed did.
So it’s unfair to rip Holmes for this, and give Reed a pass.
