This is “list season” in the NFL.
During that gap between the end of minicamps and the beginning of training camps, you see a lot of NFL content providers cranking out lists.
Top 100 players, top QBs, top WRs and so forth.
Often, fans get upset when a player on their team is not ranked higher on one of these various and sundry lists.
You know what, as they say in Brooklyn, “fuhgeddaboudit.”
There is no bigger team sport than American football.
“In football, it’s the ultimate team sport,” Hall of Fame QB Warren Moon once said.
So true.
Former Jets coach Al Groh once said, “It’s not about the most talent, it’s about the most team.”
Of course, you need talent, but you could have all the talent in the world, but in football, if all that talent does not come together, play as one, play like a well-oiled machine, you are not going to have a great team.
So don’t worry about where your favorite players are listed. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
The only list that matters in the NFL is being ranked the best NFL team after winning the Super Bowl and lifting the Lombardi Trophy in February.
