Las Vegas Locomotives coach Jim Fassel was on Sirius NFL Radio today, and he couldn’t stop raving about Jets cornerback Isaiah Trufant, who came to the Jets from the UFL’s Locomotives.
“He’s such a competitive guy,” Fassel said. “He can latch on to any receiver. He will fit in very well in the Jets scheme. He just make plays.”
Trufant was promoted from the Jets practice sqaud this week.
This wasn’t just an insignificant “end of the roster” move. If he plays well against Buffalo, he will have a role with the Jets in the playoffs.
Gang Green needs help at the nickel back spot, and this guy could potentially help. With his speed, quickness, and ability to change direction effortless, he’s a good fit for the slot.
