The NFL Network’s Marshall Faulk was impressed at how Rex Ryan changed his approach in dealing with Peyton Manning.
“Rex Ryan had been trying to get after Peyton Manning, blitzing him, beating him up,” Faulk said. “This time, he beat him with mental jousting. If Peyton is throwing the ball, they’re great. If they’re running the ball, [they’re] not so good. Rex had a great game plan and he stuck to his game plan, which made Peyton stick to the running game.”
