Does he deserve “Coach of the Year” for what he’s overcome?

Cleveland – The Jets next opponent, the Cleveland Browns, are 10-5.

The Browns are starting their fourth QB (Joe Flacco), with a third-string right tackle and a backup left tackle. They also lost star running back Nick Chubb.

Former NFL GM Mike Lombardi thinks Browns coach Kevin Stefanski deserves NFL Coach of the Year.

“What Stefanski has done, let’s put it in perspective here. Robert Saleh, after the Aaron Rodgers injury, has six wins and is 6-9, meanwhile, the guy in Cleveland, Kevin Stefanski has had more quarterback injuries than Saleh has had, and had more offensive line injuries than Saleh’s had, and has 10 wins, 10 wins,” Lombardi said on VSIN. “So if losing your quarterback gives you a pass for the [this] year, then losing your quarterback and getting 10 wins, should get you coach of the year. He’s overcome the adversity of the situation and has done a remarkable job. 10 wins are hard to get in the National Football League.”
