Green move official

The Jets officially announced the signing of defensive tackle Howard Green.

Green (6-2/325/Louisiana State/Donaldsville, LA) was waived by the Washington
Redskins on September 4, 2010, after joining the team as an unrestricted free
agent on April 19.  Last season, he played 12 games for the Jets and recorded 37
tackles. Green has played 49 games in his career, registering 118 tackles, one
sack, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Originally a sixth-round
draft selection of Houston in 2002, Green has also seen action in regular season
games for Baltimore (2002), New Orleans (2003-04) and Seattle (2007-08).
He will help fill the void left by Kris Jenkins’ knee injury.
