Glenn doesn’t want to talk solutions publicly, but we can – here goes . . .

What does Aaron Glenn think his 0-4 Jets need to do to right the ship?

“I don’t want to put those solutions out because I want to keep those solutions in-house between our guys, and I know exactly what we’re going to do to try to help on some of those things,” Glenn said on Wednesday.

When it comes to his defense, which has played four inconsistent games, the solutions are pretty obvious.

They need to improve their pass rush. They had no sacks on Monday in Miami against a team starting their fourth right guard and a backup right tackle on the quarterback’s blindside. Perhaps getting end Jermaine Johnson back soon will help.

They need to improve their tackling. The Jets’ tackling issues were on full display on a nine-yard TD run by Dolphins RB Devon Achane in the third quarter.

“Poor tackling and that’s been the story of this Jets’ defense,” said ESPN’s analyst Dan Orlovsky after the play.

They also need to stop overpursuing plays, both against the run and the pass. They are playing hard, but sometimes, too hard, taking themselves out of position.

Another solution perhaps can’t be fixed until the off-season. At a number of spots, not just one or two, they need upgrades.

So there you have it – some solutions for their defense.
