The Jets signed safety Ed Reed today.
That part makes sense.
But they released outside linebacker Ricky Sapp to make room for him, and kept offensive linemen Will Campbell and Oday Aboushi on the roster.
I’m not putting Sapp in Canton, but the Jets are thin at outside linebacker with the knee injury to Garrett McIntyre, and with Antwan Barnes on injured reserve.
They are top heavy with offensive linemen on the roster.
Why wouldn’t John Idzik make a move with an offensive lineman to make room for Reed, and not make a thin position even thinner?
