Jets coach Robert Saleh was asked today if Haason Reddick’s holdout and trade request are a distraction to his team.
“It’s not,” Saleh said. “I promise you it’s not.”
The defensive end has no history on the Jets, and most players in the locker room don’t know him. It’s not one of those contract disputes, like the one with WR CeeDee Lamb in Dallas, where the players are probably distracted by it, because he’s one of the top two or three players on the team, and has been a big-time producer for the Cowboys.
Honestly, the players in the Jets locker room aren’t too focused on the Reddick dispute, so this is not one of these contract imbroglios where you worry about how it’s playing in the locker room.
That dynamic is not at work here.
So hard to see this as much of a distraction.
How many of players even know him?
