Still does a lot of things really well . . .

It’s early, and it’s not tackle football yet, but watching the Jets practice over the last 10 days, it’s pretty clear, that QB Aaron Rodgers still has elite skill.

At 40, he’s still got rare arm talent and can still threaten all parts of the field. He’s still is excellent at going through his reads – one, two, three, check down. He’s still a magician at the line, looking over the defense, and changing the play to something better.

And his ability to throw with accuracy and anticipation is still there, and that was on full display today, on a pass to Breece Hall out of the backfield.

Not going to get into specifics on the route, but linebacker Quincy Williams had very tight coverage on the running back. Still, the pass was thrown with such great anticipation and accuracy, that the running back caught the ball, even with the linebacker in his hip pocket.

He’s “still got it” as Ralph Malph used to say.

If Rodgers stays healthy, the Jets’ offense should be quite explosive this season.
