I think Drew Brees is a heck of a football player.
But I’m not digging some of his quotes about the labor mess.
He tweeted this today – “Not once have the players asked for more money during negotiation. That is a FACT. I don’t expect anyone to feel sorry for us.”
Who ever accused the players of wanting more money?
We all know the NFL owners want the players to give some money back because they aren’t comfortable with the 60-40 split of the last CBA.
So why should be be impressed by Brees’ statment – “Not once have the players asked for more money during negotiation.”
Who cares?
That is a moot point.
